The Protagonist’s woe

Deep within my heart still bleeds Raw, the memories of yesterday Life in a different direction it moves No one can see the pain Days become months and months to years The past still a formidable present Never can I feel that way again The act scary to replay Cupid’s part through in life’s theatre The histrionics now of a different kind Curtains have fallen, the protagonist still on stage In denial the show never ended If the worlds a stage and we’re all actors I need to meet the playmaker and ask him If all that I had to do was play my part Why did it have to hurt so bad
